Started school at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, went on to School for American Craftsmen which is part of the College of Imaging Arts and Sciences at Rochester Institute of Technology. Graduated top of class in program with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. Went on to School of Information Studies (iSchool) at Syracuse University and earned a Master of Library Science (the last year the traditional MLS was offered, after becoming an MLIS and MS in Library and Information Science) and was inducted to Beta Phi Mu.
